Week 9 10 11 update CBHE Trail Run Training.

Race day Is Here!

First let me apologise for not posting for the last few weeks, it just wasn't to interesting to post.

For week 9 it was acupuncture and warm up and cool down videos from the Clubbell Hero Evolution series. No running.

Week 10 I went to Calgary Ab. for a Conference for work. And from Saturday night to Thursday afternoon it was long days with late nights followed by early mornings. So no training during that time. But that Friday morning I rented a car and drove to Banff. It was the first time in the west and had to see the mountains!

I toured the town then took a Gondola ride up a Mountain then hiked down, yeah I did it the easy way but didn't pack proper shoes. Yes that's my excuse. Took about an hour half. Snowy and narrow and shin deep at parts.

After a week in Downtown Calgary this is what I needed.

Week 11 two short runs two CBHE final phase works, went light.

As I'm typing this its Sunday after the race. Yesterdays goal was just to finish the race injury free. kinda hoped for about 2:30 finish time but came in at 2:55. Its all pre race preparation. I realised late Friday night I forgot to buy Gels to keep me fulled during the race. But figured they are usually at the aid and water stations. Hmmm only one I ran by had them so the last few kilometres were a bit tough. The tank was empty but kept pushing and made it. My left IT band didn't bother me at all, very impressed with my Therapist at In Motion. The route was full of going up and down hills, seemed like we just ran short parts of flats just to get to more climbs. One again with where I live there are very few places to train for hills and nothing that would prepare you for this type of terrain run. This is the reason I completely support Shaine Henis Clubbell programs. I felt strong powering up all the hills and had no issues. Well until the end but that had more to do with what I had left in the tank.

The link below is some footage I shot during the run, hope you enjoy.

I should have named it, If The Blair Witch Project did a Trail Race. lol.

The rest of this week will be finishing up the last phase of Clubbell Hero Evolution.
